Once a person has decided to take paragliding lessons, their lives have changed forever. They will now be one of the few people that have ever experienced flight in this way. Flight that takes your breath away every time. Flight so pure that it’s hard to believe it’s happening. They have just made one of the most important decisions of their lives. Learning to fly a paraglider is exhilarating, but it is also a big commitment. Being a pilot of an aircraft demands time, money, and a high level of responsibility and maturity. Many mornings and evenings will be spent at the training hill practicing and getting flights under our belts, and although paragliding is one of the cheapest forms of aviation in the long run, the initial investment can be hard to come by. The payoff, however, is priceless. The Bozeman Paragliding Pilot Program is one which lets the student progress at his or her own pace. We will continue to instruct, fly with, and guide every student until (and after) they feel totally comfortable launching, flying, and landing by themselves at a variety of different sites in various conditions. Upon the completion of the program, the pilot will be awarded a P2 rating issued by the United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association. This is a license to fly with no instructor supervision. This instruction costs $1,500 and includes instructional tandem flights, a minimum of 25 solo flights, radio communication, and transportation to and from the flying sites. We also offer a two day introductory class for $300 and a one day class for $200. If you then decide that you want to continue with lessons, all of this money will be put towards the full lesson package price ($1500). NOTE: The $1,500 must be paid upfront and cannot be refunded if the student cancels mid-way through lessons. Contact us for lessons or questions. |
